1404 MAINTENANCE OF TRAFFIC 1404.1 GENERAL Unless the Contract requires otherwise, the Contractor shall keep Roads undergoing improvements open to traffic at no additional cost to the Department. The Contractor shall direct traffic over a Department-approved Detour route as required by the Contract or as directed by the Engineer. The Contractor shall maintain the portions of the Project being used by public traffic in a condition that accommodates the public traffic at all times.
