1019.3CONSTRUCTION —
1.a General. Thoroughly clean the surfaces of dirt, debris, oil, grease, and foreign matter that would prevent penetrating sealer , adhesion, or drying. Do not use membrane -forming curing compound where linseed oil treatment is to be applied. Apply the penetrating sealer as soon as possible after completion of a structure or portion of a structure.
1019. 3(b) 1019. 4 hydrocarbons, water blasting equipment with a minimum rated capacity of 5,000 pounds per square inch, a low -pressure sprayer with 0.1 gallons per minute at 25 pounds per square inch or less, and brooms or notched squeegees to spread sealant evenly. The use of a spray bar and several nozzles is the ideal application technique.
data sheet (PDS) . Clear the surface of all loose particles. Utilize a detergent that has been approved by the sealer manufacturer to remove any visible hydrocarbons from the surface.
