3316 HIGH PERFORMANCE STEEL (Y.S. 50 KSI) 3316.1 SCOPE Provide high-strength, low-alloy structural steel shapes, plates, and bars to enhance atmospheric corrosion resistance, weldability, and mechanical properties. 3316.2 REQUIREMENTS Provide Material for high-performance steel meeting the requirements of ASTM A709, Standard Specification for Structural Steel for Bridges, Grade HPS 50W and 3308, “General Requirements for Structural Steel.” Provide Grade HPS 50W high-performance steel with a minimum specified yield strength of 50 ksi. 3316.3 SAMPLING AND TESTING — BLANK
