3317 HIGH PERFORMANCE STEEL (Y.S. 70 KSI) 3317.1 SCOPE Provide high-strength, low-alloy structural steel shapes, plates, and bars, to enhance atmospheric corrosion resistance, weldability, and mechanical properties. 3317.2 REQUIREMENTS Provide Materials for high-performance steel meeting the requirements of ASTM A709, Standard Specification for Structural Steel for Bridges, Grade HPS 70W and 3308, “General Requirements for Structural Steel.” Provide high-performance steel Grade HPS 70W with a minimum specified yield strength of 70 ksi. 3317.3 SAMPLING AND TESTING — BLANK
