3372.1SCOPE
Provide steel H-piles for Structure construction.
3372.2REQUIREMENTS
Provide steel H-piles for bearing sections in the size and weight per unit of length as shown on the Plans and meeting the requirements of ASTM A572, Standard Specification for High-Strength Low-Alloy Columbium-Vanadium Structural Steel, Grade 50 for structural quality carbon steel shapes. Provide a steel H-pile tip listed on the APL under “H-Pile Tip Protection.” See 2452.3A, “Delivery and Inspection of Piling” for requirements to use surplus piling.
3372.3SAMPLING AND TESTING
Provide one certified copy of mill test reports with heat numbers identified, including physical test reports and chemical analyses, and mill shipping papers to the Engineer before delivering the Material to the Project. Include the actual carbon, manganese, and phosphorus contents in the chemical analysis report.
