3898 FLOCCULANTS 3898.1 SCOPE Provide naturally derived additives for coagulating dispersed clays, and reducing turbidity in storm water runoff and use flocculants as part of a designed storm water treatment system. 3898.2 REQUIREMENTS Use environmentally benign flocculants that are biodegradable and consist of natural origin biopolymers to improve water quality and protect aquatic biota.
