During this period:
• Maintain equipment in the controller cabinet , as necessary . Use additional locks, as necessary, to prevent entry by others.
• Repair faulty work, repair or replace defective materials or equipment , and correct malfunctions in the controller cabinet within 48 hours after starting repairs.
• Start repairs no later than the working day following notification of failures or malfunctions.
• Guarantee repairs or replacements for the balance of the 180 -day guarantee period, or 30 days, whichever is the longer period.
• Repair or replacement work not performed within the guarantee period, or any extension period, will be considered latent defects as specified in Section 107.16(b).
• Provide the Representative with the name and telephone number of the person to be notified in the event of failures or malfunctions during the guarantee period.
• Issuance of a 30-day test acceptance certificate or final settlement of the Contract does not in any respect relieve the Contractor of responsibility for the in -service guarantee period described in these Specifications.

• Contractor must require that the signal supplier technical representative be on site during construction signal installations and turn-ons. The technical representative must be knowledgeable in the operation and maintenance of the signal hardware.
• If required by the contract, traffic signal installation(s) must be integrated into the Regional TMC system for monitoring of operations as specified in Section 953.3(n).
• New Traffic Signal Installations. Contractor is responsible for all traffic signal equipment and components through completion of the 180-day operational support period.
• Retrofits of Existing Permanent Traffic Signals. Contractor is responsible for all newly installed traffic signal equipment and components through completion of the 180-day operational support period. For temporary modifications to existing permanent traffic signals as specified in 958.3(f), Contractor is responsible for all newly installed traffic signal equipment and components for the duration of the temporary signal modifications .
