966.1DESCRIPTION —This work is the furnishing, installation, replacement , and removal of snowplowable,
retroreflective, raised pavement markers of the type indicated.
966.2MATERIAL —
Type IV according to manufacturer ’s recommendations for bonding the reflectors or holders to the pavement or the reflectors to the holders.
966.3CONSTRUCTION —As shown on the Standard Drawings, recommended by the manufacturer, and
as follows:
Do not place devices on pavement surfaces that show visible evidence of pavement cracking, checking, spalling, or failure of underlying base material. Do not place devices within 4 inches of a pavement joint. During the pre -installation layout, if it is de termined that a device would be placed at a point where any of the above conditions exists, reloc
