New concrete shall be placed in the resulting opening and finished, and the new plates set i nto the wet concrete, according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. 608.042 New Concrete Curb Ramps New concrete shall be placed a nd finished for the ramp, and the new plates set into the wet concrete, according t o the manufacturer’s recommendations. 608.043 New HMA Pavement Ramps HMA pavement shall be saw cut a nd removed to provide an opening that will allow for the dimensions of the ca st iron plate surrounded by an additional 4 inch border on all si des of the plate. New concre te shall be placed in the resulting opening and finished, and the new plates set into the wet concrete, according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
608.05 Method of Measurement Construct sidewalk, regrading sid ewalk, concrete
sidewalk, brick sidewalk (remove and rebuild), brick sidewalk a nd brick driveway aprons will be measured by the square yard of finished surface. HMA p avement sidewalks will be measured by the ton of HMA mixture placed. Detectable warning plates will be measured for payment by the square foot of actual plate area, only, not including the surrounding concrete.
608.06 Basis of Payment The accepted quantities of sidewalk wi ll be paid for at the
Contract Unit Price per square yard for concrete sidewalk, bric k sidewalk and brick driveway aprons, and per ton for HMA pavement sidewalk, comple te and in place. Excavation will be paid for under Section 203, Excavation and E mbankment. Base and subbase material will be paid for under Section 304, Aggregate Base and Subbase Course. HMA mixture for sidewalks will be paid for under Section 403, H ot Bituminous Pavement. Expansion joint material, joint filler, and other related items will not be paid for separately but shall be considered incidental to related Pay Items. For construct sidewalk, payment will be for excavation, new agg regate and necessary incidentals to bring the grade t o pre-pave grade. For regradin g sidewalk, payment will be for removing existing pavement, regrading existing gravel base and adding new material, as necessary. For brick sidewalk (remove and rebuild), payment will be for al l work outlined in Section 608.033, Brick Sidewalk (Remove and Rebuild), except th at any necessary excavation will be paid for under Section 203, Excavation and E mbankment, any necessary base and subbase material will be paid for under Section 304, A ggregate Base and Subbase Course, and any specified HMA mixture will be paid for under Se ction 403, Hot Bituminous Pavement.
