Use material reasonably free of deleterious substances or foreign materials including, but not limited to, dirt, shale, slate, incinerated asphalt coal mine waste, and within the maximum limits of the individual deleterious and total deleterious materials according to Table B, Type C.

• Crushed Fragments. If natural sand is furnished, not less than 35% of the fragments retained on the 2.36 mm (No. 8) sieve are required to be crushed fragments, determined according to ASTM D 5821 .
• Iron. Total of individual anti -skid particles containing metallic iron may not exceed 1.0% by mass
