Art. 1054.02 Nonmetallic Water Seals 940 1054.02 Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Water Seal. The water seal shall be extruded from a specially compounded thermoplastic material consisting of a basic resin of polyvinyl chloride with additional resins, plasticizers, stabilizers, or other ingredient materials needed to provide a satisfactory water seal. Samples taken from the finished water seals shall meet the following requirements. (a) Tensile Strength. The tensile strength shall be not less than 1500 psi (10,300 kPa). (b) Elongation.
