Art. 1084.01 Illuminated Sign 1064 SECTION 1084. ILLUMINATED SIGN 1084.01 Illuminated Sign. The illuminated sign shall be as follows. (a) Housing. The sign housing shall be made of extruded aluminum alloy with a minimum thickness of 0.063 in. (1.5 mm). All corners and seams shall be heli-arc welded and weatherproof. Doors shall be made of 0.125 in. (3.1 mm) thick extruded aluminum with a 0.188 x 1 in. (5 x 25 mm) neoprene gasket and sun hood. Hinges shall be continuous full-length stainless steel.
