136 SECTION 403 — BITUMINOUS PAVEMENT MATERIALS FOR TEMPORARY ROADWAY MATERIAL
403.1Description.
This work consists of providing and placing bituminous pavement as TRM.
403.2Materials.
403.3Construction.
Coordinate placement and compaction of TRM with all other work and operations necessary to maintain traffic safety.
403.4Method of Measurement.
The Department will measure TRM by tons placed calculated in accordance with Section 109.1.
403.5Basis of Payment.
The Department will pay for TRM at the contract unit price per ton. Payment constitutes full compensation for providing, preparing, placing, and removing materials. 137 SECTION 404 — BITUMINOUS CRACK AND JOINT SEALING
404.1Description.
This work consists of sealing existing transverse joints, longitudinal joints, and pavement cracks in existing pavement, existing patches, or around new patch perimeters.
404.2Materials.
404.3Construction.
404.3.1 Sealant Equipment. Use sealing equipment specifically recommended by the sealant manufacturer. 404.3.2 Refacing of Pavement. Reface existing pavement using a router to expose sound pavement or cut the joint with a router to the width and depth necessary to provide the joint reservoirs shown in the contract. 404.3.3 Cleaning Before Resealing.
