559 SECTION 864 – PREFORMED PAVEMENT MARKING TAPE
864.1Description.
This work consists of providing and installing preformed pavement marking tape.

Place a quality control strip as directed by the engineer at the beginning of each day’s operations to demonstrate that the application equipment is working properly and applying markings as required. Repeat the demonstration whenever there is a change in equipment settings or as directed by the engineer when the quality of the line being applied is in question. Authorization to proceed will be given by the engineer when the quality control test indicates conformance. If the application of the control strip is on the actual roadway, correct any application that is not in compliance with the contract.
